72-Year-Old Nepali Man Declared World's Shortest

For more than seven decades, Chandra Bahadur Dangi lived an isolated life in a remote mountain village in Nepal. He had never heard of Guinness's world record for shortest man and Guinness knew nothing of him—that is, until a timber merchant visiting his village recently brought Dangi's height to the attention of local media. At just 21.5 inches (54.6 cm) tall, the 72-year-old is both the world's shortest living man and the shortest adult male ever recorded in history. He is also the oldest person ever to be awarded this title. More...
