The new serial SCSI interfaces are at the beginning of their development, and will grow in terms of connectivity and performance over the next several years. These courses provide a detailed understanding of the Serial SCSI interface from a hardware perspective, and include some software concepts as well. Serial SCSI Protocol (SSP) is used to transfer SCSI commands; SAS Management Protocol (SMP) is used to send expander device management information, manage and configure expanders; and Serial ATA Tunneled Protocol (STP) is used to transmit SATA commands. |
